Eligibility

Fencers must
 – be aged 16 or over on 1 January 2022;

 – be ranked outside of the top 50 of National Senior rankings in their weapon for Women’s Foil, Epee, Sabre and Men’s Sabre and the top 80 for Men’s Foil and Epee as at 1 January 2022;

 – never have represented their Nation at any level (including GB, home nations or other national equivalents);

 – never have won a Senior Open event

 – have London Region specified on their British Fencing Membership.

 and be resident in UK

British Fencing Membership Requirement
Full/Compete level membership.

Entry is online through Sport80.

Entry fee £30

Refunds will only be offered in very exceptional circumstances.  No refunds will be offered after 1st May under any circumstances. 

Closing Date
Midnight Ist May 2022.  Late entry at £45 may be permitted but solely at the discretion of the organiser.

Poules, plus DE

Awards & Qualification 

Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded for each weapon in the London Region Intermediate Championships.  Additionally, the top 2 ranked fencers in each weapon will be eligible to enter the finals of the GB Cup.  

Please note the GB Cup finals will be on 4th and 5th June in Sheffield.  If you qualify but cannot or do not wish to fence please let us know by close of play on 9th May so that your place may be offered to the next ranking fencer.

Covid 19 Mitigation

Although there are currently no legal requirements in place,  for the safety of everyone involved and in line with best practice our competitions will continue to incororate Covid 19 mitigation measures  which are condition of entry.

The venue is small and likely to be busy with competitors from a wide range of clubs  and localities. Anyone wishing to attend the event will be required to wear face covering when not competing or warming up. 
If you are showing signs of any infection, have recently tested positive for Covid 19 or have reason to believe you may be infected DO NOT attend the event.
Anyone experiencing the onset of symptoms during the event must report the fact to an official and leave. 

Other Information
There are no shops nearby and we will not be offering a refreshment service so please make sure you have addiquate food and drink for the event.  Fresh water will be available to refill water bottles

No personal armoury repair service will be provided so please ensure your kit is in good working order and you have spares where necessary.
